WHIMSY
As there is no plan for the pug of clay when it starts to be worked, the most unusual animals begin to evolve. When an animal begins to take shape, often their face or features takes them into a place where just glaze and simplicity are not enough. This is when I begin to see personalities, the need for additional clay accessories or even the addition of hand sewn clothing.
A strong stern giraffe is just a giraffe but what if he is the guide instead of the animal the guide is planning on finding? The rabbit is a rabbit but maybe she is so pretty that her beautiful skin is so light and delicate she is maybe a dancer with translucent skin? All of these ideas are possibilities in my world of clay. Mice have crochet scarves and work aprons and rabbits can have office clothes. These are always possibilities in my world of clay animals.
