RABBITS

Ears on most any animal may seem insignificant. Yet ears on a rabbit are anything but insignificant! Think of the height, the width and even their shape. A single group of rabbits can tell happy, sad, worried and scared stories all by the way their ears are standing. If they are rounded, falling or twisted, each shape tells the other to run, to hide, to watch carefully or everything is just fine.  Creative license gives me the opportunity to mix ears with breeds, size with moods and colors with desire to mix and match by interest.

The shape, the color and even a wiggle in the center of an ear can spell out whether she is listening, startled, close to familiar spaces or just plain happy. Since rabbits live and protect themselves by their sense of hearing, I feel the need to accentuate their importance and take advantage of the unexpected possibility of visual humor.
